For more than 35 years Inter-Antiquariaat and antiquariaat Pieter Mefferdt have been buying and selling antique works on paper.

In the past this meant we held numerous atlasses, rare maps and precious antiquarian books in stock. But the two firms have merged some years ago, continuing as Inter-Antiquariaat Mefferdt & De Jonge, and we now have an atlas only occassionally.

Today our focus is still with antique works on paper, but visual aspects and artistic value have become more important.

We not only appreciate maps, prints and drawings because of their significance in history, but we want to display their beauty, and admire the skill and craftsmanship of those artists who trusted their talents to paper.

In short, this means that we deal in 16th-18th century maps and charts, town plans and views (typically not younger than 1850), drawings, watercolours and prints (until around 1920).
